TheatreDevon.net is a community driven website and an interactive resource which belongs to the theatre community of Devon.

The site was initiated by Devon County Council and made possible by Albow in partnership with Exeter Northcott, Exeter Phoenix and Theatre Royal Plymouth. The site is stimulated and co-ordinated by Wide Awake Devon.

Theatre Devon is part of the Albow family of websites from across the South West.

Wide Awake Devon create opportunities for artists to share ideas, knowledge, resources, and develop relationships with each other as well as with arts organisations and venues. We provide opportunities to devise creative ways to make, produce and promote new work in a productive and collaborative environment.

Our ambition is for Devon to become a healthy bloodstream for extraordinary live performance which can spark a propeller for local work in a national context, so that work made in Devon is celebrated both within the county and across the UK. Our opinion is that Devon needs to create a greater capacity for support networks and resources in order to nurture ideas with promising potential that is then able develop into high quality work. Local artists will start to proudly acknowledge their roots, building the reputation for extraordinary artistic practice in Devon.
