This was an educational puppet show aimed at young and old alike. We took the show to an open day at Poltimore House in Devon and told our story of two very different rooks who realised a lot more is achievable when they work together.
Our debut show at the Bike Shed Theatre, Exeter, which saw us come together and amalgamating all our varying abilities to create a story about exploration, family and friendship. We carried on our interest in lighting throughout this piece but using floor torches extensively.
This was a show we did to raise funds for the St. Stephens Church fund in Exeter.
We adapted the Dickens' timeless tale and brought our own touch to it. Lit solely by candles and singing classic carols during the piece we re-imagined the story, making it fast-paced whilst using our old favourite medias of puppetry and self-lit actors.
Probably our most ambitious show to date and also one of the most successful. An adaptation of Shakespeare's King Lear, this was a piece that used text from almost all of the Bard's plays entwined together to create a new story of honour, deceit and sibling rivalries. Again, we continued our passion for lighting and shadow play by using candles and hand held torches throughout the show.
Collaborating with Dr. Jerri Daboo we retold this old Indian tale for the Dartington Tagore Festival 2011.
We then took the show for a three day run at the Bike Shed, combining it with pieces of Indian dance and movement to create a cultural celebration event.
